Brush and Drive motor carbon brushes should be checked every 500 hours or once a year, whichever comes first.
When to Replace:
Replace the brushes when they are worn.

Procedure for replacement:
Removing the Drive Wheel Assembly and Spindle Mount Weldment
Removing the Drive Motor from the Drive Wheel Frame Weldment
Removing the cap holding the brush in the motor
Prying out the old brush and installing a new one
Reinstalling the cap, motor, and assembly
